2 Corinthians 5

We start today looking at the earthly tent we live in as temporary. This temporary tent or body will be for a permanent one formed by God. We all long for the heavenly dwelling place the Father has created, to be with Him, spending time with God in fellowship with our Father so we can be fully clothed and not vulnerable to disease, pain, and weakness...4"so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." God always gives us what we need to have life to the full. 9"So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it." In this world of selfishness and instant gratification we must hear this from the Lord in order to make this adjustment. A person will not be able to change a self-centered heart. Only the God that created it can change it.
This change is the work of the love of Christ and it compels us to be ministers of reconciliation. We are ambassadors of Christ and appeal to everyone to be reconciled to God - 21"so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
Psalm 16:2 tells us "I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
So I encourage you to remain in Him to become the image of our loving Father in Heaven, for apart from Him there is no righteousness.
